Full Job Description
Kendall Auto Group is one of the largest family owned and operated dealers in the Pacific Northwest and premier employer in Central Oregon. We are looking for a General Accounting Clerk to join the accounting team. This is a temporary position with the potential of it becoming a permanent position.
Qualifications:
• Accounting experience required
• Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
• Intermediate user of Excel
• Ability to ten-key by touch
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail an accuracy
• Intermediate accounting knowledge
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction
• Ability to prioritize job duties to meet deadlines
Duties & Essential Job Tasks:
• Back up title clerk, assisting in calling banks and out of state DOL as needed.
• Prepare vehicle title and registration documents for DMV processing.
• Verify that funds have been collected and the correct lien holder paid off before processing title applications. Submit all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Compile and maintain a complete list of all outstanding title work. Report to business manager on the status of any missing or problem titles and provide a current list of outstanding titles.
• Reconcile accounts and schedules as directed.
• AR processing, collections, and reconciliation.
• Process car deals and all bank paperwork.
Balance debits and credits for calculations on deals.
Audit deals for accuracy and ensure all data is entered into accounting system correctly.
